The watch’s GPS functions work extremely well, although that’s obviously a part of why we like it. It’s also that Garmin went the extra mile to make sure this watch offered features that other GPS watches skip over.
it will give approximately 95% accuracy for 95% of the time. I have no issues with a chest strap and prefer to know that my HR data is 99.9% accurate,
It's a great upgrade to the older Forerunner 220 with a 60% battery life increase and bigger display. This watch should hold its own for the next 3 - 4 years with the various free software updates
A good running watch good for runners who don't care much about heart rate monitoring.
It links with satellites very fast meaning that you can start your runs without any waiting.
This I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for reliable GPS watch for running.
This watch average about 2 weeks for a charge. Without the onboard heart rate tracking, the battery lasted very well.
Aside from general running tracking, the Forerunner 230 has modes for biking, indoor running (GPS turned off) and "other", which essentially just opens up time, distance and speed and lets you get on with whatever crazy workout you're doing
its smaller size and bigger screen – PLUS better battery life. Those two changes alone are worth upgrading.
