However, if the chain doesn’t tighten after this and has been stretched, then you need to replace it.

Wheel Alignment

At times, the front wheel of your cycle might bend or the wheels of your bicycle can fall out of alignment. For such a scenario, all you need while troubleshooting your bicycle is to do is place the bicycle upside down , then move the wheel slowly; while doing this you must watch for the spot where the bicycle tyre moves close to the brake pads.

Then, attach the spoke key to the spoke nipple on the loose spoke, make short turns of about a half of a rotation and check the rotation after every turn.

Continue this until the wheel runs smooth in a straight line for a full rotation.

Deflated Tyres

You were riding along fine until the tyres got punctured or suddenly you realized that you had to put extra effort to pedal because the tyres were under inflated. Sounds familiar? The deflation can be either because of a puncture, a leak in the air valve or just normal deflation because of a long gap after you last filled one or both tyres.

If it is a puncture or a valve leak, we recommend you take it to the nearest cycle repair shop . You might need to change the tubes if you are riding on tubed tyres.
